Welcoming New Clients
Providing in-person & virtual therapy in OklahomaA soft place for hard conversations.
do You feel stuck between the life you learned to survive and the life you’re trying to build?
Hi, I’m Kody Garis (he/they) — a queer, secular/non-religious therapist based in Oklahoma who helps individuals and partnered systems work through the hard stuff: trauma, identity, relationships, family wounds, people-pleasing, and all the ways life teaches us to disconnect from ourselves so you can start building a life that feels more authentic, grounded, and yours.
Together, we’ll untangle the patterns and pain that shaped you so you can start living with more clarity, connection, and room to breathe.
I’m so glad you’re here.
You deserve a space where you don’t have to perform, explain yourself into being understood, or carry everything alone.
I’m an antiracist, fat-positive, queer affirming therapist who works with people who are tired of overthinking, people-pleasing, or carrying family and relationship patterns that feel too heavy to keep holding alone. I work with individuals and partnered systems navigating trauma, identity, family dynamics, and the messy in-between parts of being human.
Therapy with me is casual, collaborative, and real. We might laugh, we might cuss, we might sit with the hard stuff, but we’ll always move at a pace that respects you and your nervous system. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe enough to be honest, supported enough to go deeper, and gently challenged enough to start building a life that feels more authentically you.

How it Works…
Start by sending a message or scheduling a consultation. This gives us a chance to connect, talk through what you’re looking for, and see if working together feels like a good fit for you!
01. Reach Out
If we both decide to move forward, you’ll complete intake paperwork and we’ll use the first session or two to get to know your story, what’s been feeling hard, and what you’d like support with.
02. Complete Your intake
From there, we’ll meet regularly and start doing the deeper work: untangling patterns, building insight, practicing tools, and making space for the parts of you that need care and support.
03. Begin Therapy sessions
Therapy is an ongoing process, so we’ll check in along the way about what’s helping, what’s shifting, and what you need next. Over time, that may mean continuing, changing direction, or eventually wrapping up when it feels right.
